About Music Therapy Services of South Dakota
			Music Therapy Services of South Dakota has been providing music therapy for children in South Dakota and southwest Minnesota since 1993 in a variety of settings and populations.  We pride ourselves on offering quality, research-based and developmentally appropriate services.  Music Therapy Services of South Dakota works with families and agencies on advocating for individual needs.
						Lora Barthelman, MT-BC, NICU MT received her B.S. in Music Therapy from Indiana University and is certified through the National Certification Board for Music Therapists.  She has   received  an advanced practice specialty in Neonatal Music Therapy  from Florida State University and the Infant and Child Medical Music Therapy Institute through Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.   She is a member of the American Music Therapy Association and a life member of Sigma Alpha Iota.  She is a graduate of  South Dakota Partners in Policymaking and is currently Vice-Chair of the Governor appointed Family Support Council.  She has been   nationally recognized for her vision of Music Therapy for the state of South Dakota.
